Bishop’s Dinner

Screen Shot 2014-10-16 at 9.56.25 AMA Bishop’s Dinner for Scouting is an annual conference (or district) event intended to bring church pastors, youth ministers and lay leaders together with civic youth agency officials to share information and ultimately grow Scouting in the local church.

The event, held at a local United Methodist Church, is designed to grow and expand the Scouting ministry, to serve youth in the local church’s community and to serve unchurched families.

Ideally, Bishop’s Dinners are held at no cost to the participants; and are more effective when they are conducted by one or more districts at a time — depending on the annual conference, the bishop’s schedule and other dynamics and variables.
